my new Orange 5 turned up minus it's swingarm decals (Orange had run out), I figured it was no big deal and was happy to wait for them to turn up in the post at a later date.

The more I looked at it though (and I look at my new baby A LOT!), the more it looked like a blank canvas upon which to play :-)
I started mocking up a few designs in Photoshop and soon found that the relatively large area of the swingarm meant there was good scope for something eye catching & complimentary.

During this process, I remembered an article I ran on the web site last year featuring custom decals on an Orange 224. Enter Crawford Carrick Anderson's CCA Signs.

Crawford had recently done some stunning work on the new Hub minibus, so I figured he was the man to ask and fired off my ideas & designs for some feedback.

Next morning, I received an email from Crawfy requesting a bit of tinkering with the artwork and the required dimensions of the swingarm. A couple of days later, my new decals landed on the doormat and within the hour were sitting proudly on the bike :-)

And there you have it. I have to say, I'm well pleased with the final result and the whole process took less than a few days. The decals themselves are a doddle to apply - i'd recommend covering them with protective tape (the clear stuff, of course) to preserve the look too.
My decals are still to arrive from Orange, but I'm kinda glad they were delayed in the first place :-)

I'd just like to say a massive thank you to Crawford & CCA Signs for the excellent service & great value that has made my ride that little bit more personal.

CCA Signs is a VERY good place to start.
